Windows Error Message Creator (WEMC) is, without a doubt, my most popular program. I originally created it to see if I could do it. Turned out I could, so I started adding more features to it.

WEMC can do the following:

• Create Windows error messages with custom text.
• Create Windows error messages with custom text and a custom icon.
• Create error messages with custom text, a custom icon and custom buttons, which can be greyed out or hidden.
• Create VBS (Visual Basic Script) files which display an error message when opened.
• Create Windows forced shutdown dialog boxes.
• Create fake 'Format' dialogs.

Like all the programs on this site, WEMC is not designed for use with versions of Windows past XP (considering the fact that XP was the latest version when WEMC was created). It can be used on Vista, but expect some minor graphical issues, especially with error messages that contain custom text, icons and buttons.

The zip file contains the EXE and the manifest file, which gives WEMC the Windows XP look.
