Categories

Posts on IoW are broken down into several categories. This page lists these, and explains what they mean.

  • Apology Accepted – The person the story was written about apologised for their actions, so the story was taken down.
  • Both Authors – Indicates that both my brother and I were present at the time of the event taking place, meaning we both have something to say about it.
  • Dungeon – Indicates that the story in question happened while in a Dungeon.
  • Elitism – So what if I (or someone else) didn’t meet your abnormally high expectations?
  • Epic Fail – Indicates a serious case of sheer stupidity.
  • Epic Rage – Indicates a serious case of anger. Lots of swearing and name calling, not to mention the EXCESSIVE USE OF CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Flame War – You call me something, I call you something, etc.
  • Guild – Hopefully you will never see this, but if you do, then it means the story in question is about someone in the same guild as my character.
  • Hardly Idiotic – This is for when something funny or odd happens. The person the story is about hasn’t done anything I would deem to be idiotic.
  • Hypocrisy – When the person the story is about says one thing, then later on says something to contradict that. Flier would be an example of this.
  • Information – This is for stuff like site downtime and so forth.
  • Jealousy – Usually, its because I have better stuff than them. Sometimes, its because I’m just better.
  • Language Barrier – English is my only language. That doesn’t stop some people talking shit to me in another language.
  • Mini Fail – It’s still a fail, but its just a small one. Usually not more than 5 screenshots.
  • Moronic Moments – Pretty much every story will be in this category. The moron in question will be either myself, or the person the story is about.
  • Multiple Morons – For when there’s more than one idiot in the story.
  • News – This is for site news, like explaining any lack of updates.
  • Normal Fail – Not as bad as an Epic Fail, but still stupid nonetheless.
  • Normal Rage – Not as bad as Epic Rage. This has all the swearing and name-calling, but somehow manages to make very little use of the Caps Lock key.
  • Personal Fails – Even I fuck up sometimes.
  • PvP - For Player versus Player idiocy. Split into four sub-categories:
    • Battleground – Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, etc.
    • Duels – One on one. Mano y mano. And so forth.
    • Tol Barad – How does I capture Hold?
    • Wintergrasp – Catapult spam ahoy!
  • QQ More – Used when the idiot in question spends a lot of time whining. A prime example of this would be Eartha.
  • Raid – This story occurred while I was raiding. It happens.
  • Random PUGs – Usually the Dungeon Finder, other times random people on the same realm. Either way, the majority of them can be complete and total morons.
  • Rants – For when I want to let off some steam.
  • Rude – Used when someone is just plain insulting for no reason. Kaibamoku is an example of this.
  • Supreme Fail – For when ‘Epic’ just doesn’t cover it.
  • Trade Chat – For trading stupidity as well as goods and services.
  • Ultra Fail – For when ‘Supreme’ just doesn’t cover it.
  • Video – For when there are just too many damn screenshots to put into a post.
  • World – This story happened while I was out and about. Or standing in Goldshire minding my own damn business.
  • WTF Moments – For when I was genuinely confused as to what was happening. I belive that Graysh would be a good example to use.

See the FAQ for an explanation on how I decide which ‘Fail’ category to use.
