I obtained a Vicious Wyrmhide Helm, and decided to sell it. Rather than put it on the Auction House, where I would no doubt end up getting undercut, I instead put an advert in the Trade Channel.
I soon get a whisper from a Mage named Coldster.

Just as well I had already checked the Auction House for the other Vicious Wyrmide items. The average price was 400 gold. So, I name my price.

What a dick! Why do that after telling me to name my price? I immediately realise that he’s just trolling me and promptly decide not to sell to him … not that he was interested in actually buying it in the first place.

I then put him on ignore and continue trying to sell the item. A while later, I get a whisper from a Druid named Meerdk offering to buy the item for 400 gold. Thinking I’ve finally got a sale, I invite him to a group so I can meet him and trade the item.
I get to the Valley of Strength bank in time to see him casting Teleport: Moonglade. Either this is Coldster’s alt, a friend of Coldster’s, orĀ just someone wasting my time yet again. All three of these thoughts went through my mind, but I settled on the last one.
I leave the group, and Meerdk promptly invites me to another one, which I decline. That’s when he whispers me:

I don’t know about you, but I find it rather hard to conduct a trade when the person I’m trading with is in a whole other zone. So Meerdk is just wasting my time, hence why I called him a kid – because he’s certainly acting like one.
