False Accusations II

I was sitting in Orgrimmar on my Paladin, marked as AFK while I was Alt-Tabbed. When I returned to the game, I saw that a Rogue named Wiggum had been saying things. At first I thought he had been talking to someone else, but when I removed my AFK flag, he said ‘Holie’ – which made me realise he had been talking to me.

As you know, I do have a Druid. But since I didn’t know what the fuck he was playing at, I decide to feign ignorance. It’s worked for me before, so it should work again.

Why would I do that when I’ve complained about other people doing it to me? It would make me a complete and total hypocrite.

Realising that feigning ignorance isn’t working as well as I hoped it would, I decide to try and catch him out instead.

He said he would check his screenshots, then a few minutes later says he doesn’t have any. Of course he doesn’t have any screenshots – because I didn’t do the shit he’s saying I did.

I like how he tried to catch me out here by trying to get me to name my Alliance characters. Pity it didn’t work.

Oh look, yet another convenient memory lapse.

Since he couldn’t provide any evidence that I ‘flamed him’, he’s taking the coward’s way out and running away from the argument that he started.

Finally! He gets it.

Damn, guess not. Oh, and spitting on me only makes YOU look bad. Not me. After this, I put him on ignore and took these screenshots.

As I’ve said before – if you want to accuse me of something, you’d better make damn sure that you have the evidence to back up your claims. Otherwise, fuck off.

And boy, did this guy fuck off.

Like Akon, I Can’t Stand Deraine Either

I was standing in Goldshire on Navitas, watching all the duels, when I get a challenge from a Rogue named Deraine. Since I have DuelResponse active, the request is blocked. But that doesn’t stop Deraine trying again … and again … and again. I lost count after the fifth challenge.

At first, I tried to stop her challenging me without resorting to ignore. I just told her that I wasn’t getting any challenges appearing on my screen. I lost that part of the conversation due to the large number of people in Goldshire.

However, I got the rest of it.

I’m not sure if blocking trades also blocks duel requests. I don’t see how that would work, given that they’re completely different. But Deraine still wants to duel me. I decide to go to plan B and tell her that I have an anti-duel addon.

Right, I’ve told her. Perhaps now she’ll go away and bother someone else.

Whenever I get a duel request, I always inspect the person who issued it. Nine times out of ten, they are fully PvP geared. Deraine didn’t have full PvP, but she still had more resilience than I did – so any duel would have been a waste of (my) time. And her PvE gear was superior to mine as well.

Full epic gear is hardly ‘crap’.

I have three pieces of PvP gear. She had gear with far better stats than mine. So again, any duel would have been pointless.

What does your dagger have to do with anything? You’ve got two of them, I don’t.

Clearly, Deraine only wanted to duel me so she could beat me with minimum effort. She challenged me, a (mostly) PvE geared player with crap gear to a duel against her, a (mostly) PvP geared player with full epics. Yet another case of Elitism. “Your gear isn’t as great as mine, and for that I want to duel you.”

I put Deraine on ignore and continue watching the other duels going on. A few minutes later, I get another whisper.

Holy crap. I told her I had an ANTI-DUEL ADDON. If that doesn’t scream “I don’t want to duel” loudly and clearly, I don’t know what does.

After sending this whisper, Deraine logged back onto her Rogue. So I decided to explain things to her in a way she’d (hopefully) understand.

When I tried to convey this fact to her from my only Alliance alt, she stuck THAT on ignore as well. In fact, just to tell her about this blog, I had to create a whole new character. I hope you’re reading this Deraine. As I said, apologise to me and I’ll take this down.

Your choice, fool.

McDURRmot

I was about to delete a character I had created. I was in Goldshire, and as part of the delete process, I removed all of the characters gear and vendored it. I then went to the mailbox to send back to my main the money and heirlooms I had sent over when I first created it. That’s when this happened:

Well, I was right. Even without his gear, my soon-to-be-deleted Warrior kept his dignity intact. But this guy clearly has a problem.

He probably thinks I came over from one of those realms where people cyber all the time. As for that ‘wanking’ comment … he was probably doing it himself.

This is typical of most people I meet. They start an argument, but don’t have the balls to see it through to the end.

Elitists, Elitists Everywhere

I was doing Stonecore on my Rogue, Luxxor, with a random group. After we killed the first boss, a vote kick dialogue appears. The intended ‘kickee’ is one of the other DPS. The reason given was ‘SLACKER’.

The guy was doing 4.5k DPS, which isn’t bad for his class and level (83 Priest IIRC). So, I say ‘No’ to kicking him. Unfortunately, everyone else said ‘Yes’. So he was removed from the group.

I was a bit miffed by this, so I decide to ask how he was possibly slacking.

Considering the fact the hunter was doing over 10,000 DPS, it’s only natural his pet would have contributed to that amount. Clearly these two are yet another pair of elitists who think that everyone should be capable of doing massive DPS at Level 82/83/84 … and even more once they hit 85.

Breeg joined the party to replace the Priest they kicked. He promptly did 3.3k DPS, and stayed there. Way to go, Buniek and Sosickeh. And what’s this about ’4k its like boosting’? A quick Armory check showed me that Buniek’s primary talent is Balance. His DPS was crap at one point, so he has no right to complain.

And he’s only Level 84 – so he should shut up about boosting as well.

By this time, we had killed the second boss. I was quite happy with my 4.6k DPS (considering the fact I’d never levelled a Rogue past 20 until now). Buniek left the party after saying that he “wasn’t gonna boost me”. Proof then, that he’s an elitist.

OK, so Breeg obviously didn’t realise that I was defending his DPS and starts saying that I “scared the healer” with my “complaining”. He wasn’t there for the whole thing, so he should have kept his opinions to himself.

The group fell apart after this. The tank left, then I left.

I hate elitists. They can’t accept the fact that not everyone has been playing the game for as long as they have, and therefore can’t play their class as well as these pricks would expect them to. They also seem to forget that they too were in the same situation as these people at one point in time.

I know I keep going on about this, but it just annoys me so much. Anyway, that’s me done ranting. I’ll go and see what other elitist pricks I can find.

Swanning Around

Since I’ve not encountered any new idiots for a while, here’s an old story from the archives which I found using the WayBack Machine.

If you’ve read the Hall of Shame, you will have seen that Theladyswan challenged my level 47 Mage to a duel when she (Theladyswan) was a Level 65. Well, a month later, she decided to have another pop at me.

In that time, my Mage advanced THIRTY levels, while Theladyswan only managed ONE.

Anyway, this is what happened.

That’s pretty much it. My only regret is that I didn’t lay into her regarding her pitiful level advance. One level in a month? Even the most casual of casual players could do better than that! I guess she was too busy harassing people to level properly.
